ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A suspected business burglar will appear in St. Louis County Circuit Court next week.

According to probable cause statements from the Florissant and Hazelwood police departments, the burglaries occurred on July 17, with multiple suspects riding from place to place in a stolen Hyundai Sonata.

That morning, Hazelwood police responded to a break-in at Dresscode Wardrobe in the 7200 block of North Lindbergh Boulevard. Several items, including clothing, wigs, and other merchandise, had been stolen from the boutique.

Hazelwood authorities later learned one of the suspects in their robbery, identified as Anthony Collins (age not provided), had been arrested on August 22 for other burglaries.

Florissant police said Collins and others were caught on surveillance video breaking into a VFW Hall on Rue St. Francois, a Subway restaurant along North Highway 67, Bunker’s Tavern on Rue St. Francois, and Old Towne Laundry on Graham Road.

Collins and others stole a jukebox and alcohol from the VFW Hall, cash from the Subway, and alcohol from Bunker’s Tavern, police said.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Collins with five counts of second-degree burglary, five counts of second-degree property damage, two counts of first-degree property damage, one count of stealing, one count of stealing – $750 or more, and one count of attempted stealing – $750 or more.

Collins is due in court for a preliminary hearing on September 17.
