    Velda City man accused of running over brother with car

    ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Velda City man is accused of running over his brother following an argument.

    According to the Normandy Police Department’s probable cause statement, the incident occurred on September 4. Police did not provide a specific location.

    Police said Carl Garmon (age not provided) got into an argument with his brother in a parking lot.

    A witness told police that Garmon attempted to leave in his car and Garmon’s brother wanted a ride.

    Garmon refused to give his brother a ride due to the argument, police. Garmon’s brother stood in front of the car.

    However, Garmon drove forward, knocked his brother down, and rolled over him. Police said Garmon then put his car in reverse and backed over him.

    Police said the brother’s foot and leg got stuck in the wheel well. The brother was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

    The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Garmon with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Garmon remains jailed on a $250,000 cash-only bond. He’s due in court on September 17.
