ST. LOUIS- Two suspects are under arrest in a 2019 double homicide case. Khalil Hughes and Breonna C. White, both 25, face charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the deaths of two individuals on September 22, 2019.

The victims were found shot multiple times in a Kia Forte on the 5800 block of Maffitt Avenue . After nearly five years of investigation, detectives say they have linked Hughes and White to the crime scene.

Key evidence includes DNA from a cigarette butt found at the scene, cell phone records placing both suspects in the area at the time of the murders, and surveillance footage of a vehicle fleeing the scene. The investigation also uncovered potential motives, including a dispute over a drug deal.

Both suspects were charged on September 5, 2024. They are being held without bond.
