ST. LOUIS – He’s been free for just over 30 days now after spending more than 30 years in prison for a crime he did not commit.

In a FOX 2 exclusive, Christopher Dunn, the St. Louis man exonerated a month ago after serving time for a 1990 murder, shared what it’s been like being a free man after more than three decades.

Dunn’s release made national headlines, but he says his story is far from over.

It was a muggy late July night when the 52-year-old walked out of the courthouse in downtown St. Louis as a free man. He said it all still feels like a dream.

He’s now living in San Diego with his wife Kira. The two recently celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary and attended a baseball game in Dodger Stadium.

Dunn has not been compensated for his time behind bars, but the Midwest Innocence Project created a GoFundMe page to help him get on his feet. It’s already raised nearly $40,000 of its stated $50,000 goal.
