ST. LOUIS – A U.S. District Judge sentenced a St. Louis man to prison on Friday after police intervened with a shipment of pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine to his home.

According to the U.S. Attorney Office of the Eastern District of Missouri, Damon L. Pruitt, 38, was caught by police following the shipment on March 24, 2022.

Police said the parcel delivery company became concerned about the package and opened it, then found the drugs and called police. The shipment included 15 pounds of methamphetamine and four and a half pounds of cocaine.

Police received a search warrant for the package’s delivery home address in the 6600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in the city’s Carondelet neighborhood.

During the search, police discovered Pruitt had two illegally owned handguns. According to Pruitt’s plea agreement, he is a convicted felon and told police he knew he was prohibited from owning firearms.

Pruitt pleaded guilty in October to one county of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The U.S. District Judge sentenced Pruitt to 134 months in prison.

So he is not a "people" ?" the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”.  Sounds like his rights have been violated.
