BELLEVILLE, IL — Althoff Catholic fell shy of their football championship dreams a season ago.

The Crusaders made it to the quarterfinals before a loss to Camp Point Central. That loss motivated Althoff, who started the season 3-0.

Three BCS signees help lead the Crusaders. Perhaps the best is running back Dierre Hill Jr. The Oregon commit went off during his game against Belleville East, scoring four touchdowns in the victory and racking 300-plus yards.

Next up for the Crusaders is a matchup with Tolono Unity (2-1) this Friday at 7:00 p.m.
