Nitrogen tank leaks at West County Center, no injuries reported

DES PERES, Mo. – There were no injuries after a nitrogen tank had a minor leak at West County Center on Wednesday morning.

The Des Peres Fire Department responded to the scene after a security guard heard a sound coming from the tank and dialed 911.

Officials say the tank was used to cool specialty ice cream at a shop at the center.

Crews moved the nitrogen tank outside and vented the tank before clearing the scene.
