ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis man being charged with murder is held on a $1 million cash-only bond for shooting two victims and killing one.

According to St. Louis County Police, Michael Griffin, 41, shot the two victims outside at a restaurant in the 12400 block of Lusher Road on June 16 around 2 a.m.

Police said Griffin got into an argument with the victims inside the restaurant and left only to return a half hour later with a gun. Griffin shot one victim four times and the other victim, Daviyon Thomas, 34, several times in the back as he fled.

Both victims were hospitalized, but Thomas was pronounced dead on August 8 as a result of his injuries.

Griffin was identified as the shooter by name and photo lineup. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Griffin with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and two counts of armed criminal action. He is being held on the $1 million cash only, no 10% bond.
