ST. LOUIS – Police officers and St. Louis community members will gather Saturday to bid farewell to fallen St. Louis officer David Lee. Funeral services are set for Saturday.

The church will host a visitation at the church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be a police escort for Lee from the church to his burial site around 3 p.m. Saturday.

FOX 2 is planning to carry a live feed of the funeral services on this web story on Saturday afternoon. Check back for updates.

Lee was tragically killed on September 22 while working at a crash site on I-70 eastbound near Grand Boulevard. He was struck by 24-year-old Ramon Chavez-Rodriguez, an undocumented immigrant who was allegedly driving drunk.

Authorities say Lee was moving cones when Chavez-Rodriguez lost control of his vehicle, pinning Lee against his patrol car. Lee was rushed to the hospital but died during surgery. Chavez-Rodriguez is now in custody and facing charges.

Lee was an 18-year veteran with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
