ST. LOUIS – A chilly start Tuesday, most wake up in the 40s. Some low-lying areas may wake up in the 30s with some patchy frost. Sunny, dry weather rolls on.

Tuesday’s highs will be in the low to mid 70s with low humidity. Clear and hilly again Tuesday night, wake up temperatures Wednesday will be in the 40s. We will gradually see temperatures warm the rest of the week, with highs back into the Thursday through Saturday.

Like last week, we’re watching a cold front that arrives Sunday that will bring back cooler conditions by next Monday. These temperatures look a bit chillier than what we have seen early this week.

FOX 2 Weather

After a rapid and robust intensification Monday, Hurricane Milton has been undergoing an eyewall replacement cycle and been interacting with the northern edge of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. This has led to a step down from its peak intensity but will also allow the storm to expand its wind field behind the reorganization.

Milton will be a major storm for the Florida Peninsula, bringing catastrophic storm surge to the west coast and hurricane-force damaging winds across the entire peninsula.

In fact, the winds from Milton will likely spin strong enough to lead to some storm surge flooding along the Georgia and South Carolina coasts as well. Landfall still looks like it will be late Wednesday.
