Woman shot by child’s father while children in car

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Metropolitan Police report a woman shot was shot by her child’s father while the children were in the car.

District 3 officers responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of Accomac Street around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 11.

A 31-year-old woman told officers that a 33-year-old man, the father of one of her children, shot her while she was driving. She had two children in her car.

The woman had two gunshot wounds. A 9-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl were in the back seat of the car and suffered minor injuries from broken glass.

The man is not in custody at this time.

The Domestic Abuse Response Team has assumed this ongoing investigation.
