SHILOH, Ill. – A teenage boy is hospitalized after he was shot Friday evening in the parking lot of a Shiloh, Illinois gas station.

The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of a Kings Mart at 1551 Hartman Lane.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where authorities say he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Shiloh Police Department placed on person into custody while investigating. Police say that person is not the actual shooter, but had prior knowledge of a planned assault at the gas station.

Police are also looking for a vehicle described as a dark grey Kia with heavy window tint. The suspected gunman is still at large, and Shiloh police say this was not a random act.
