    22-year-old shot during home invasion in West End neighborhood

    ST. LOUIS – Police are looking for information after a 22-year-old man was shot during a home invasion in the city’s West End neighborhood on Tuesday.

    According to police, the home invasion occurred around 6 p.m. Tuesday evening in the 6000 block of Maple.

    Police said a 39-year-old woman was at the residence during the invasion and recalled hearing someone kick in the backdoor. The woman found the 22-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and noticed two unidentified men fleeing from the home.

    The victim was listed in critical but stable condition, and police said the woman was not injured.
