ST. LOUIS — Lindenwood Men’s Ice Hockey earned one of college hockey’s big upsets last week, defeating then-No. 9 Wisconsin on Friday. It was the program’s first win against a top-ranked team and first win against Wisconsin in program history.

The Lions split the weekend series at Wisconsin and go into this weekend’s games at 1-1-0 on the season.

When Fox 2 spoke with him earlier this week, first-year head coach Bill Muckalt described “a feeling of belief” in the Lions locker room.

“That’s what it takes,” Muckalt added. “It’s not the end-all-be-all, but it’s a really good start for us, and it certainly sent some shockwaves throughout the college hockey network.”

Next up, Lindenwood stays on the road to face Air Force this Friday (Oct. 18) and Saturday (Oct. 19).
