Tulsa Premium Outlets finally open for business

JENKS, Okla. — The wait is over and the Tulsa Premium Outlets are open for business.

We brought you live coverage on FOX23 News This Morning showing you everything it has to offer.

Shoppers like Marc Moncrief could not wait to get in line for the Nike outlet.

"It's Nike, man. I mean, Jordan’s, shoes, clothes... You see the fit, you know,” Moncrief said jokingly.

He and his wife said they might have a bit of a shoe problem. They collect shoes.

"I’m done shopping, I’ve got over 400 pairs of shoes so I’m good," Moncreif said.

They're using the big grand opening for a little back to school shopping. Their boys start school next week.

"School's about to start so getting them shoes is one of the things we've got to do,” Jessica Williams said.

You can shop at more than 70 retail stores. Thirty are new in Tulsa and 15 are new to Oklahoma. The Carhartt outlet is the brand's second outlet location.

"It's our fifth southern door that we've actually opened. We've not traversed or penetrated south of Tennessee, so, being able to bring the Carhartt brand to Tulsa, Oklahoma, is really a pleasure and we're excited about the opportunity,” said SVP Chad Cornstubble.

Hundreds waited in line to get to their favorite store and for many, the wait has paid off.

"I’ve waited years for this, so it's really awesome to see how beautiful it looks,” said Madison Sharp.

They are celebrating all week long, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
