Crews repair hit gas line near west Tulsa middle school

TULSA, Okla. — First responders were on scene near a west Tulsa middle school Friday morning after a gas line was hit.

FOX23 was on scene at Webster Middle School near 41st and Union while crews worked on the hit line.

Oklahoma Natural Gas confirmed a construction crew accidentally struck a gas line servicing the school. No injuries occurred and the building was evacuated as a precaution while repairs were made.

ONG said repairs are complete and service to surrounding customers wasn't affected.

If you smell natural gas, ONG said to leave the area immediately and call 911 and 800-458-4251.
