More than $250 million awarded to complete I-44/US-75 interchange

Work on the interchange at I-44 and Highway 75, known as 'Tulsa's Stonehenge,' is closer to continuing.

ODOT said the contract was awarded to Manhattan Road & Bridge for about $252 million.

Construction is expected to start back up in spring and last around three years. The project will complete the entire interchange, which had been planned as multiple projects to keep costs under control.

Thanks to two federal grants totaling $95 million, ODOT can package the three projects together at once.

ODOT said this is the most expensive highway construction contract ever awarded in Oklahoma and the second longest contracted time.
