BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — 2004 Olympic All-Around Champion gymnast Carly Patterson Caldwell will be visiting nonprofit Aim High Academy at Battlecreek Church in Broken Arrow for their "Gold Medal Night" event.

"I remember when Carly came on the gymnastics scene and how incredibly talented she was in the sport. Her performances at the Olympic Games in 2004 was solid. She showed she was the best in the world and brought excitement back to USA Gymnastics," said Aim High Academy Executive Director Jennifer Patterson Bjornberg. "Getting to know her over the years has been a blessing to me. She is a wonderful person and will provide inspiration for all of our guests at Gold Medal Night."

Aim High Academy provides scholarships to children from low-income families that allow them to participate in gymnastics and ninja classes. Gold Medal Night is an important event that intends to help fundraise for these scholarships.

Carly Patterson has joined as this year's honored guest to help with both fundraising and inspiring the kids at Aim High Academy.

Patterson is the Women's Artistic All-Around Champion from the 2004 Olympic Games as well as being the first all-around champion for the United States at a non-boycotted Olympics. She is a member of the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame and was recently inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

Aim High's Gold Medal Night will be held at Battlecreek Church in Broken Arrow on Thursday, Nov. 7.
