Metro Merch in Broken Arrow sends $4,500 of baby formula to North Carolina after Hurricane Helene

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Metro Merch in Broken Arrow is sending $4,500 of baby formula to North Carolina to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

After two devastating hurricanes have hit the southeast of the country back to back, many businesses in Green Country have stepped up to send aid and donate supplies.

One business that has decided to donate vital supplies for those affected is Metro Merch in Broken Arrow.

"it's just basically neighbors helping neighbors," said Metro Merch Manager Dawna Christensen. "We've done it in Oklahoma obviously, with the tornadoes and the bombings and everything else. There's no reason we can't help people in North Carolina."

Christensen has organized the donation of $4,500 worth of liquid baby formula to be passed out to families in need. The baby formula is being sent specifically in liquid form for those who might not yet have reliable access to water.

The supplies will be picked up and flown to North Carolina in the coming days.
