CAPE CORAL SHOOTING: Man dead at one scene, shooter identified

Wednesday morning started with Cape Coral Police investigating a deadly shooting in two different neighborhoods.

They tell Fox 4 a man was found dead outside of a home on NW 25th Pl, late Tuesday night.

While detectives investigated that shooting and searched for the killer, officers responded to a home in another neighborhood, about two miles away.

People who live on NW 13th Pl, near Embers Parkway, called Fox 4 and said they heard police on a loudspeaker telling someone to come out of a house.

A spokesperson for CCPD said this was an isolated incident and the shooter was not at large.

On Wednesday, CCPD said because the next of kin had yet to be notified, they could not release any further details at that time.

Residents in the community were devastated to wake up to gunfire Tuesday night. One family in particular caught the shots on their ring door camera.

The Povia Family kept replaying the video they captured and told Fox 4 they gave the Tuesday ring camera footage to the Cape Coral Police Department.
