Avery Skinner named to USA Olympic Volleyball team

WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — Another Baylor Bears is headed to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, as the USA Volleyball team selected Avery Skinner to its roster.

Skinner spent a season in Waco in 2021, and earned All-America honors during her time as a Bear after transferring in from Kentucky.

Since the end of her college career, she has gained experience playing with the national team, as she earned Best Striker and Best Scorer awards during the Pan Am Cup in 2022.

The 2024 Summer Olympics are set to start on Friday, July 26th.
