Woman accused of stabbing her mother, cutting others

Gholson, Tx ( FOX 44 ) – A 24-year-old woman is being held on multiple charges following a disturbance earlier this week that left her mother with a stab wound to her back and two other family members with cuts.

Jasmine Villarreyna remained in the McLennan County Jail Friday on felony charges of aggravated assault of a family member with a weapon and two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

An arrest affidavit stated that McLennan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an address in the 100 block of Ross Road Spur near Gholson on an initial report of a disturbance with a stabbing.

On arrival they found family members restraining a woman later identified as Jasmine Villarreyna.

The affidavit stated that deputies were told the suspect and her mother had been arguing outside the house, with both then going inside with the suspect accused of grabbing a couple of knives and as family members tried to calm her down, the mother was stabbed in the upper back. Two other family members received cuts trying to get the knives from the suspect.

Deputies were told that early in the argument outside the house, the mother’s necklace with a cross and pendant on it had been ripped from her and that the mother was assaulted with it.

Deputies arrested Jasmine Villarreyna at the scene and she was transported to the McLennan County Jail where she remained Friday.
