    Series of earthquakes strike southeast of Ocotillo Wells

    BRAWLEY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A series of earthquakes struck roughly 40 miles southeast of Ocotillo Wells Saturday, the United States Geological Survey reported.

    The earthquakes occurred near the Imperial County city of Brawley.

    The first quake was reported at 1:29 a.m. and the most recent was reported at 9:02 a.m., according to data collected by the USGS . The most minor was calculated to be 2.5 magnitude, while the greatest was at a magnitude of 3.7.

    There were a total of 13.

    Some of the earthquakes could be felt as far west as Ocotillo Wells and as far south as Mexicali, the USGS Shake Map shows.

    There were no immediate reports of damages or injuries related to any of the quake, as of 9:32 a.m. Saturday.
