SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — People taking public transit in La Mesa may notice a more colorful commute while waiting the Grossmont Transit Center.

On Thursday, the Metropolitan Transit System unveiled two murals by local graffitti artist Maxx Moses.

Second annual ‘Taste of Barrio Logan’ to be held on Sept. 8

The first mural, called “Succession,” is located on the bus side of the transit center. According to Moses, it represents “a simplicity in life within the quiet spaces between our hearts and minds when we take the time to listen.”

A second mural, located on the train side of the transit center, is named “Float On,” representing grace, stillness and serenity.

The murals were installed as part of MTS’ “Color the Corridor” beautification project , which Moses has been involved in since 2022, according to MTS.

The local artist already has artwork displayed at the trolley stations on Massachusetts Avenue, 62nd Street, Euclid Avenue and 47th Street.
