OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities are searching for two people who assaulted four people with baseball bats in Oceanside over the weekend.

The assailants looked to be instigating fights with random people walking by, as well as targeting one bystander who was recording the incident on her phone and attempted to take her device, according to witnesses.

Following the first incident, another report confirmed two other victims being assaulted in the same area and in the same way, police said.

All the victims suffered serious injuries, including head lacerations and one with a facial fracture.

Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Dave Estrada at 760-435-4698 or email DEstrada@oceansideca.org.
