Fire burns near building in rural East County

POTRERO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A brush fire broke out Tuesday near Potrero, destroying one trailer, authorities said.

The fire, which totaled 2.52 acres, occurred around 4:35 p.m. at 26440 Potrero Valley Road in the Bell Valley community, according to Cal Fire San Diego.

SkyFOX/KUSI in the Sky was over the location where flames and black smoke could be seen burning brush near a building.

Firefighters will remain on scene for several hours to ensure the fire is completely out.
