    Brush fire stopped at 27 acres in Jamul

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A brush fire broke out Friday near homes in Jamul.

    The blaze, dubbed the Proctor Fire, is located just west of Proctor Valley Road near mile marker six, Cal Fire San Diego posted on X , formerly known as Twitter, at 6:03 p.m.

    As of 6:56 p.m., the fire spread has been stopped at 27 acres and is 5% contained, firefighters said.

    Brush fire in Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve stopped

    Over 100 firefighters from multiple agencies have built a containment line around the fire and are cooling hot spots.

    No evacuations have been issued at this time.
