    Motorcyclist injured by hit-and-run driver in Sherman Heights

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A driver hit a motorcyclist in Sherman Heights and fled the scene last night, the San Diego Police Department said Wednesday.

    A 36-year-old man was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcyclist eastbound in the 2400 block of Imperial Avenue last night around 8 p.m., police said.

    At the same time, an unknown driver and vehicle was leaving a driveway traveling south and onto eastbound Imperial Avenue in the same area. According to police, the driver collided into the motorcyclist and fled the scene.

    As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist sustained a dislocated femur and multiple open fractures to his left tibia/fibula. Police said his injuries are non-life-threatening.

    The driver was not located, according to police. San Diego Police traffic units will be handling the investigation.
