SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — From a rock concert to a baseball and soccer game, San Diegans can expect busy crowds and heavy traffic all weekend long, coupled with the usual congestion that comes with Labor Day weekend. Commuters are encouraged to plan ahead.

The busy weekend kicks off with Def Leppard, Journey and the Steve Miller Band hitting the stage at Petco Park tomorrow from 6 to 11 p.m. The concert is expected to draw a huge number of attendees to Gaslamp Quarter and the surrounding area downtown.

To wrap up the holiday weekend, the Padres face the Detroit Tigers on Labor Day at Petco Park. The game starts at 3:40 p.m.
