San Diego spot ranked third best place to grab a cheeseburger in US, according to Yelp

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The next time you’re craving a burger, you may want to head to North Park.

Yelp Elites just ranked the top 20 places to get a cheeseburger in the country and a local restaurant not only made the cut, but ranked third on the list.

While narrowing down which burger joints are among the best, Yelp Elites identified businesses in the burgers category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors. This included the total volume and ratings of reviews​ among Yelp Elites.

If you haven’t already been, head to 4592 30th Street in San Diego and try a cheeseburger at The Friendly . This burger point, ranked third overall, has character. This is what Yelp Elites has to say about the spot:

“Want to have comfort food in a laidback spot? Start with burgers at The Friendly. There are a variety of toppings and styles you can use to make your perfect smash burger here. Their signature “Dirty Flat-top Burger” features two smash patties with cheese and grilled onions, all between a pillowy soft bun that Elites can’t get enough of.”

The Friendly is known for having a chill dive bar ambiance with hip-hop music playing. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a casual dining experience and a cheeseburger of course.
