SAN DIEGO (FOX 5) — It’s hard to believe that a week ago San Diego County was dealing with widespread triple-digit heat while this week temperatures have fallen 15 to 20 degrees below average.

A few light rain bands moved through San Diego County this morning as the low pressure system responsible for the cooler, misty weather shifts northeast over Nevada.

Daytime highs for beaches and valleys coast will top out in the low 70’s with mid 60’s in the mountains and upper 80’s in the deserts.

Cooler afternoon temperatures will stick around through Thursday — when San Diego has another chance for light rain and drizzle in the morning and evening hours from beaches to coastal mountain slopes. Light accumulations are expected if anything.

Beyond Friday and into the weekend, high pressure will take over and bring a drying and warming trend through early next week. This will bump our daytime highs five to 10 degrees above average.
