    Here are some places to pick pumpkins in San Diego County

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Fall is approaching and that means it’s almost time for pumpkin patch season.

    Pumpkin picking is a fun autumn activity that sets the mood for Halloween.

    People are looking to leave San Diego for these 10 cities: Redfin

    The San Diego area offers a variety of pumpkin patches where guests can pick pumpkins, take pictures or participate in other activities. Here are some spots to visit:

    Carlsbad Strawberry Company
    1050 Cannon Road in Carlsbad
    From tractor rides to a corn maze for all ages and a haunted corn maze, the Carlsbad pumpkin patch opens this Friday until Nov. 3.

    Bates Nut Farm
    15954 Woods Valley Road in Valley Center
    Ride a pony or mechanical bull or go see and touch animals at the farm’s petting zoo. Bates Nut Farm opens Thursday until Oct. 31.

    Mountain Valley Ranch
    842 Highway 78 in Ramona
    Mountain Valley Ranch offers an assortment of pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn. It opens Saturday through Oct. 31.

    Oma’s Family Farm
    14950 El Monte Road in Lakeside
    Take in farm activities like a haymaze and hayride with a scenic backdrop of the mountains. The pumpkin patch opens Oct. 1 until Nov. 2.

    Mr. Jack O’Lanterns Pumpkin Patch
    3901 Clairemont Drive in Clairemont
    Carve a pumpkin, jump in a bounce house or be daring enough to go into Mr. Jack O’Lanterns’ haunted house. The patch opens on Oct. 4- 31.
