Man shot, stabbed killed in East Village

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A person who was shot and stabbed Tuesday died in the East Village neighborhood, authorities said.

Officers received a call around 7:39 p.m. about the incident at 1 14th Street, the San Diego Police Department confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI.

Authorities say the victim, described as a male, was shot by one person and then stabbed by another. He was taken to hospital and died from his injuries.

There is no information about suspects at this time.

The area has been closed off as the homicide unit investigates the death.
