Spartans flying high after fast 4-1 start

SAN DIEGO (KUSI)- Chula Vista High School football team is off to a fast start throwing the ball around and having some nice balance on the ground this season. In years passed the Spartans would typically run the ball, then run some more, then run some more. Times have changed after losing there first game of the season they have ran off four straight wins. A big reason why is team chemistry and unity.

“I make sure to go over the film right after the games, and look at the routes.” Elijah Gillespie said, CVHS wide receiver. “I just watch those and see what I’m doing wrong. Maybe I need to drop my hips lower or make everything look like a nine.”

“It means a lot to us, because people don’t think we are going to beat these bigger schools and we are very small. Its a pleasure beating these teams and putting a name for ourselves out here.”
