SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — SeaWorld San Diego’s Halloween event returns Friday with live entertainment and spooky-themed attractions including five haunted houses plus three hidden speakeasies and six cocktail bars.

Guests can hop on SeaWorld’s dive coaster, Arctic Rescue, in the dark as it reaches bone-chilling speeds of 40 miles per hour for 2,800 feet of track.

Live entertainment will be available at Nautilus Amphitheater for the Monster Stomp Show, as well as DJ sets at Red Moon Stage and Emperor Plaza.

San Diego Restaurant Week: where to eat

New this year, guests can find libations at six cocktail bars, including three all-new additions this year. Plus, guests will need to deliver a password to access three hidden speakeasies — the Crimson Lounge, The Bermuda Club and Sideshow. The passwords can be found on the Howl-O-Scream Instagram page.

Featured drinks include a sweet and sour Alien Experiment, a tequila-based Ringmaster Poison, and a Zombie Juice mocktail.

San Diegans can get free entrance to these National Parks this weekend

Halloween-themed menu items will also be available at various around the park, including a Devil’s Burger (which includes candied jalapenos and Hot Cheeto coleslaw) and Vampire Fangs (strawberry-filled churro with Oreo dust).

Guests can test their fears in five separately themed haunted houses — Simon’s Slaughterhouse, Alien Outbreak, Nightmare Experiment, Death Water Bayou and Circus of the Damned.

Howl-O-Scream is a separately ticket event that is not included with regular park admission. It is not recommended for the faint of heart or children under the age of 13, according to the theme park. Costumes and face paint are not allowed during the event.

Tickets to Howl-O-Scream include haunted houses, scare zones, access to the themed bars and the rides and coasters within the park.

Single-night tickets start at $41.99. The event begins at 7 p.m., although ticketholders may enter the park starting at 6 p.m.

Don’t miss out on scare season! The last night of Howl-O-Scream is Nov. 2.
