Padres to host Braves in NL Wild Card series

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The stage is set for playoff baseball in San Diego.

The Padres will play the Atlanta Braves in a best-of-three National League Wild Card series starting Tuesday.

The matchup against the Braves comes after Atlanta defeated the New York Mets 3-0 Monday to obtain the fifth seed.

The fourth-seeded Padres will host all three games at Petco Park.

Here is what the Padres’ playoff schedule looks like:

• Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 5:38 p.m. PDT on ESPN
• Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 5:38 p.m. PDT on ESPN2
• Thursday, Oct. 3 at 4::08 p.m. PDT on ESPN (if necessary)

The winner of the series will advance to the National League Division Series to face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
