Oceanside Sunset Market to host annual ‘Haunted Market’ on Halloween Night

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Get ready for a night of spooky fun as the Oceanside Sunset Marke t transforms into the Haunted Market on Oct. 31. This beloved Halloween tradition will take place from 5-9 p.m. on the evening of the actual holiday.

Haunted Market will offer a free, family-friendly experience filled with treats, tricks and ghoulish delights. According to MainStreet Oceanside , it promises a festive atmosphere with a lineup of exciting activities.

The evening kicks off with a kids’ trick-or-treating event for children under 12. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as the trick-or-treating will continue until all the candy is gone.

At 6 p.m., participants can join in on the fun with a costume parade, showcasing the creativity and spirit of the season. The night will culminate with the “Evil Laugh and Blood-Curdling Scream Contest” at 8 p.m. inviting all to showcase their most spine-chilling sounds.

In addition to these highlights, attendees can enjoy a live DJ, vendor costume contests, as well as a variety of food and retail vendors. The Haunted Market aims to provide a “spooktacular” evening for all ages, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

For 17 years, the Oceanside Sunset Market has been a staple in the community, attracting locals and visitors every Thursday. The market features a rich array of international cuisine, gourmet treats and unique shopping experiences, all set against the scenic backdrop of the iconic Pier View Way.
