SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — We have a gradual cooling trend on our hands this weekend into the middle of next week with temperatures feeling a little more like fall.

As of noon Thursday, coastal clouds and fog have mostly cleared across the beach areas thanks to a weaker inversion.

Inland areas will get more of a cooldown starting this weekend but until then, moderate and warm conditions prevail the rest of the work week.

Friday daytime highs will top out in the mid 70s for beaches, upper 80s to low 90s for the inland valleys, low 80s for mountains and just above 100 degrees for the deserts.

A low-pressure system moves near the West Coast Friday which will help drop temperatures as we head into early next week.

Marine layer clouds will continue each evening and morning for coastal areas and even some of the valleys at times. However, less fog is expected in the days following this weekend.
