Brush fire breaks out in Lakeside

LAKESIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Firefighters on Thursday are working to extinguish a brush fire in the Lakeside area.

The fire, located off El Monte Road, is burning around two to three acres with a moderate rate of spread, Cal Fire San Diego said in a post on X at 5:25 p.m.

There are no reports of any injuries or structures being threatened at this time.

As of 6:11 p.m., fire crews had stopped forward rate of spread at seven acres, fire crews said.
