    Police investigate shootout at Linda Vista gas station

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in Linda Vista around 5 a.m. Friday morning.

    Authorities confirmed that there were multiple scenes: one on the 6900 block of Linda Vista Road and another at the intersection of Comstock and Osler streets.

    In an update around 7 p.m., FOX 5/KUSI confirmed a shooting occurred outside a Chevron gas station, located at Linda Vista Road and Ulric Street. Police said it’s believed that two people opened fire on each other, shooting multiple rounds.

    Two individuals were reported to be injured and have been taken to local hospitals. It’s not yet known if those victims are the shooters themselves. FOX 5/KUSI is working to confirm more details.

    As far as the scene in the area of Comstock and Osler streets, there appears to be a crash and police said they do believe it’s connected to the shooting

    There is no outstanding suspects at this time, police said.

    The public is encouraged to avoid the impacted areas as police continue their investigation.
