    Four people, including two SDPD officers, injured in collision

    Update: Four injured after San Diego police vehicle hit by alleged DUI driver

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A two-vehicle collision near Liberty Station sent four people to the hospital Saturday, including two San Diego Police Department officers, authorities said.

    SDPD said the incident happened at the intersection of Midway Drive and Barnett Avenue around 12:15 p.m.

    It’s been confirmed that the two officers and two other individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment. SDPD said all were conscious and breathing at the time of transfer.

    No further details have been released at this time. FOX 5/KUSI is working to gather more information from the scene.

    According to authorities, the Midway Drive and Barnett Avenue intersection is expected to be closed for several hours for an investigation and cleanup efforts.
