SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man hit and killed by a car in Lakeside in August has still not been identified, local medical officials said.

The deadly crash occurred on Aug. 30 on Mapleview Street, the County of San Diego said on its website Thursday.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office describes the man as Caucasian or Hispanic, around 55 years of age, and 5 feet 8 inches and 205 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, as well as a linear scar on the back of his left hand.

Fingerprints, dental records, nor DNA has been able to identify the man whose sketch will be released soon, according to medical officials.

Investigators want to notify his family of his death.

Anyone who has information about the identity of the man is asked to call the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office and reference case number 2024-02597.
