The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. CST on Saturday in the Lindle Castle Gymnasium at Clinton County High School. Friends are invited to visit at 4 p.m. on Friday at Clinton County High School and again at 8 a.m. on Saturday until the funeral.

The burial will be in the Marcum Cemetery in Clinton County.

McWhorter, 26, died after the Somerset-Pulaski County ambulance he was driving crashed into a semi-truck.

McWhorter had been employed with Somerset-Pulaski EMS since December 2022 and left behind his wife, whom he married in July, children, including a newborn expected in July, family members, and fellow first responders.

A procession was held on Wednesday to bring McWhorter’s body back home from Frankfort. During the procession, multiple counties blocked intersections. Somerset-Pulaski County EMS said multiple people stood in the chilling rain as McWhorter was returned home to pay their respects.
