    Police searching for missing woman last seen in Hazard

    PERRY COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A search is underway for a missing woman who was last seen in Hazard on Friday night.

    The Perry County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) posted on Facebook around 8 p.m. on Saturday to ask the public for help searching for 28-year-old Veronica Sweet.

    🔎 MISSING IN KENTUCKY

    According to authorities, Sweet was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Friday in the 100 block of Boone Ledge Drive in Hazard.

    Sweet is missing from an assisted living facility and “is diagnosed with several mental health disorders,” per law enforcement.

    Sweet was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 235 pounds, with brown hair that is dyed regularly, according to authorities. She has the word “Faith” with hearts next to it tattooed on her right arm, and the word “Hope” with hearts next to it tattooed on her right arm.

    The sheriff’s office said Sweet has family ties in Covington but could have gone to the Mount Sterling area as well.

    The PCSO said if you know where Sweet could be found, dial 911.
