Lawsuit claims medical neglect at Madison County jail led to man’s death

RICHMOND, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Kentucky jail is being sued for allegedly neglecting a prisoner who later died.

The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, claims the Madison County Detention Center left Brandon Baker in filth with no food or medical care.

Baker was released on July 25, 2023, and he died three weeks later.

A Kentucky medical examiner’s autopsy report said that “medical neglect” contributed to Baker’s death.
