When law enforcement arrived at the scene, deputies reportedly found black skid marks leaving the highway, which turned into tracks that showed the vehicle had gone off the road and over an embankment into the tree line. When deputies followed the tracks, authorities said a black Toyota Tundra was found on its side.

The sheriff’s office said deputies found the driver’s body, which had to be extracted from the pickup truck.

The Knox County Coroner’s Office then identified the man as 40-year-old Brad Rose of Girdler and pronounced him deceased at the scene. Rose was the only person in the pickup truck, according to authorities.
