2 women injured after reported armed assault in London

LONDON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A London woman is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center after a late Sunday night shooting.

According to the London Police Department, around 11 p.m., Heather Manning was found lying on the ground outside of a home with a gunshot wound in her arm. Inside the home, the police said they found Judy Roberts injured on the floor.

Investigators said Roberts appeared to have been injured after Manning reportedly attacked her while armed.

Both were taken to a nearby hospital before being transferred to the University of Kentucky hospital for treatment, according to LPD.

Manning is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center and has been charged with:

• Second-degree assault
• Fourth-degree assault
• First-degree wanton endangerment (two counts)
• Unlawful Imprisonment (two counts)

She is awaiting transfer to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
