    Anderson County Schools addresses racist incident against its players at soccer game

    ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 )—The athletic director said a group of fans were barred from athletic events after a racist incident at a soccer game last week.

    Corey Sayre, Anderson County Schools Athletic Director, released a statement on Facebook on Thursday.

    According to Sayre, their players heard “racially and culturally offensive comments from opposing players” and a group of fans outside the fence.

    The opposing team’s athletic director assured Sayre that the fans in question wouldn’t be allowed back, and the associated players would not play the next game.
