BARDSTOWN, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Federal agents are back in Nelson County on Wednesday in connection to the 2015 disappearance of a Bardstown mother.

The Louisville branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released on X , formerly known as Twitter, that agents are searching a property in Cox’s Creek.

“FBI Louisville is conducting a search in Cox’s Creek, KY as a follow-up to tips received related to the Crystal Rogers investigation,” FBI Louisville wrote .

According to FOX 56’s sister station, WDRB , the search is at a residence on Whitesides Road and more than two dozen vehicles were on site surrounding a home and barn. The exact location was not released but multiple members of the Houck family owned property on Whitesides Road at one time, per WDRB.

The search marks the latest efforts on the ground since a 2022 search of Rogers’ boyfriend, Brooks Houck’s family farm.

In 2023, Steven Lawson , Brooks Houck , and Joseph Lawson were arrested and charged for their alleged role in Rogers’ disappearance.

It’s unclear at this time if the property at the center of Wednesday’s search has ties to any of the three men charged in Rogers’ case.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Rogers was reported missing by her mother on July 5, 2015. That same day her father discovered her abandoned car with a flat tire at mile marker 14 on the Bluegrass Parkway. Her phone, keys, and purse were still inside her red Chevrolet Impala.

The FBI told WDRB that the search could extend to Thursday.

My heart goes out to Crystal's family & friends, but especially her mom. She has handled herself so gracefully. I really respect that lady! I can't imagine what she's gone through losing her daughter, then her husband. I pray the truth will finally come out, and whoever is responsible is punished.
