    Body of missing boater in Gallatin County found in Ohio River

    GALLATIN COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — First responders and rescue teams in Gallatin County located the body of a missing boater Wednesday afternoon.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    According to Warsaw-Gallatin Fire and Rescue , on Tuesday morning crews were dispatched to Paint Lick Road, where a man fell off a boat into the Ohio River and was not able to be found.

    Rescue crews confirmed that a command post was established at Davis Lane and River Marker 521, where additional support and aerial coverage were requested. Searches continued until nightfall and were suspended.

    Fire and rescue crews said Wednesday afternoon that the boater was located and recovered from the river.

    The boater’s identity has not been released at this time.
